Meadshaw Farm

There is plenty of off road parking and turning space for riders wanting to explore the Roman & Reivers Route. This route consists of grassy tracks through the forest, forest roads, minor roads, old drove roads and hills from which you will see for miles. There are several options for making this a circular route, from a couple of miles to a much longer route. Suitable for all abilities.

Off the Beaten Track Rides

Rides from 3 miles to unlimited – forest tracks linking miles of bridleways, tiny lanes and river crossings.  Stony tracks to grassy tracks, gallop across 400 year-old battlefield, long canters on disused railwaylines.  Suitable for all abilities.  Rides can include pub, ruined castle and Middle Earth.

Auld Skuil

At the Auld Skuil we are situated on the Buccleuch Country Riding Route and offer a central parking spot to access this ride. We can offer you parking and the use of stabling/tie up facilities and provide a picnic for your return. Alternatively we can suggest shorter circular routes or link up with another Ride Borders provider to allow you to customise your day.

Wiltonburn Farm

Only two miles from Hawick, our 400 acre hill farm is situated on the Roman and Reivers route and the well signed Hawick circular Riding Route. Easy parking, toilet facilities, and light refreshment £25  up to 2 horses/riders.

Northumberland Riding Holidays at Ravenscleugh

Day trippers

Why not base your ride from Ravenscleugh. Park up your wagon and head off into glorious Northumberland.  Maps and local information can be provided.  Why not go on a pub ride, when you return you can wash your horses off and then enjoy our Wild Swimming Pond.  Cost £40 (two horses & riders) including a swim.  Overnight camping available or stay in your lorry for a longer visit.
